I've not watch Despicable Me yet but someone shared a video of SNSD (TTS) singing the Banana Potato song from the sequel trailer and it's so addictive!

Stumbled across an acoustic version of IU's Missing Child just now.
I'm loving it.

Ponytails

19 days till my report is due.
MUST. FINISH. IT. IN. NEXT. FEW. DAYS.
I've not sent it in for my supervisor to check yet because there's not enough to be checked. =/
I've not started on revision.

Split ends got on my nerves again (from constant curling during project period) so I trimmed my hair this afternoon. I feel cute ;p Ahahaha!

After not doing any proper work for the last three years, it's a rare moment for me when I am actually here reading the research papers that I have printed off instead of adding them to my collection of "I will read them someday". My cartridge just ran out of ink again when I've only just got a new one about two months ago?

Oh 7500-word report, please at the end of this be of decent quality at least. I need you to pull up the grade for that silly field course exam that I know I will definitely flop in summer.

I should not have left it so late.

I rather write my lab report (which seems so interesting now) than another personal statement.
Thought I was done with the whole bl**dy nightmare three years ago.
Story of my life; applications, applications, applications.
In fact, in most people's life.
But I just want to complain because I'm spoilt.

Perhaps in hindsight it would make it less difficult if I had blogged properly or kept a journal instead of writing in staggered sentences.

(This is an ambiguous post)

I don't want to do it anymore more. Can I have a second chance please or can fate open another door for me?

Saturday, 17 March 2012

I've got all my assignments back now. They stress me out. I seriously need to start pulling my weight and get some work done over Easter if I actually want to pass my degree.

Project has finally ended now and a lot of people were quite glad to get it over with but I rather enjoyed it even though I wasn't particularly competent in the lab. Prof. G was asking if I do a Masters (if I get the grades for it even) would I do a research-based one again? Definitely.

I've lost count of the number of agarose gels that I've made within the course of five weeks. Definitely 20++.

Oh, the joy when your bands turn out nicely.

A rare lunch time in the Botanic Gardens when the sun was shining.

My supervisor, Dominic, allowed me to play with dry ice. You cannot believe how I amused I was!

There's something oddly satisfying about the mindless, tedious work of filling in pipette tips into boxes.

First and last time that I used the new fancy cuvette that just came in not long ago for transformation.

Goodbye my plates of bacteria.

It was quite sad yesterday when I finally cleared out my locker completely. I missed my boxes that were full of primers, PCR products, DNAs and etc. The lab went out to lunch together at Zen yesterday and Prof. G bought us a round of drinks at the Court Inn before that.

Overall, it was good times. =) I now dread the R-word that I have to write up. Also that other R-word that I need to do over Easter holidays as I have not written up any lecture notes.

On a lighter note, excited. One week to Greece!

It's Ending!

Four more days of labs/project left. Terribly sad that it's ending although I am terrible at it. I don't want to face reality and start revising!!!

But can't wait to escape with Pucca for Easter =D *inside talk*

나는 잘 먹고

I should blog. But I'm lazy.

Bah, I'll content people with something then.

Despite this being the sister campus of Durham University, this is my second time visiting Stockton. This was the end of the first week of my research project and I was feeling utterly miserable, so took the bus to the little town of Stockton to visit Hyun-sil.

*tears* And she made amazing food. There's pork marinated (possibly) with gochujang (chilli pepper paste), steamed egg with roe, soup with tofu and other bits in it, fried courgette coated in egg  and of course, KIMCHIIIIIII!! Black rice (looking purple) has the most amazing texture!

Koreans come up with the darnest things. This green tea latte is amazing. I wish they sell it here.

Sweet rice cake that Hyun-sil let me take back because we were too full.

We've also created a group for exclusive people. XD
Guess the secret's out.
